Featuring an edgier front fascia and a larger, deeper grill with a horizontal-bar insert on base models, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata can also be had with a mesh design insert when opting for the Sonata Turbo. Also sporting a selection of blackout trim up front, along with a black chrome finish on its lower side body, door handles and rear lamps plus bright chrome accents on the rear diffuser and integrated exhaust outlets, the upcoming Sonata boasts a more intriguing look than ever before. Also added to the mix? Model-specific 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheel choices that will have you riding in absolute style.

When it comes to interior updates, you'll find that the 2018 model year brings various trim enhancements, new steering wheel options, more user-friendly controls and a newly added rear-seat USB charge port. Also offered on select models are features such as available wireless smartphone charging and both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Opt for the Turbo model and you'll find updated features such as more supportive sport buckets and a shift knob that allows for easier drive mode selection.


What to Expect When it Comes to What's Under the Hood

While it is expected that most powertrain options will carry over for the 2018 model year, but the Sonata Turbo will swap its 6-speed automatic for a new 8-speed unit. Also, the upcoming Sonata is expected to offer car shoppers an even more comprehensive suite of driver assist features.
