Pure Electric Power
There is no gas engine in the IONIQ 6, and it runs solely on powerful batteries and electric motors. Rear-wheel models will have one electric motor, while all-wheel drive gets two electric motors. Your choice of standard battery or extended range will determine the power output:
- Single motor with standard range battery: 149 horsepower
- Single motor with long-range battery: 225 horsepower
- Dual motor with long-range battery: 320 horsepower
Range and Recharging Options
The IONIQ 6 models with rear-wheel drive and a long-range battery will achieve a maximum range of 361 miles on one charge, which beats rivals like the Tesla Model 3. On the lower end, all-wheel drive with a long-range battery will allow for 270 miles of range in between charges. The IONIQ 6 also supports three levels of recharging, including ultra-fast charging at compatible public charging stations:
- 240-Volt AC - Level 2: 10- to 80 percent in 6 hours and 55 minutes
- 50-kilowatt DC Charging - Level 3: 10- to 80-percent in 73 minutes
- 350-kilowatt DC Charging - Ultra-Fast Charging: 10- to 80-percent in 18 minutes
